The Acai Berry – Myth Or Legend?

February 23, 2009 · Filed Under Diet Products

Are the acai berry benefits really what they say they are? How much research is there REALLY out there on the acai berry that they’re telling you about?

In my opinion, the acai berry is just another scam that’s trying to steal peoples money. Just like many other scams where people find out 1 or 2 good things about a certain food and claim it to be some kind of miracle food, the brazilian acai berry really isn’t anything special.

Think about this for a second.

All it really is, is a regular old berry that people found. I think they found it in Southern America which is why it’s called the Brazilian Acai Berry, but I’m not totally positive.

Do you honestly think some type of berry is going to make you lose fat? Of course not!

We know that if you eat less calories than you burn, that’s what causes fat. SO the only way this berry could help you lose fat is if you were already eating less calories than you were burning in any given day.

People claim this berry is a superfood, and while it might be incredibly healthy for you, like all other berries, you shouldn’t be paying tons of money for it.

When I looked up the statistics on how many antioxidants it had, what I found was that the acai berry “superfood” has more of certain antioxidants than other berries, but less of the other types of antioxidants.

If you didn’t know, there are a bunch of different antioxidants, each which do a different job…so keep that in mind when people claim to be selling something with huge amounts of antioxidants.

Unfortunately people fall for the acai berry diet or juice or powder or whatever it’s called, but I hope you won’t!

To further explain this, I made a video where speaking my mind about this subject. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Oh and by the way, in an upcoming post I’m going to reveal one of the biggest scams that I can pretty much guarantee you’ve seen!
