5 Reasons You Need To Start Fasting For Fat Loss Today
You already know I’m a huge fan of fasting for fat loss – and also just for the plain health benefits of it – but today I’m going to give you 5 reasons you need to start fasting for fat loss today.
It should help get rid of any doubts you might have about fasting!
Ok so let’s start it off.
- It’s Easy – For some reason, fasting for 24 hours to reduce calories by roughly 2,000 calories is MUCH easier than saying NO to foods that would reduce my calories by that much over a few days. I think this has to do with the psychology of it. You see, when you’re fasting – you don’t have a choice of whether or not to eat food. By eliminating choice, you eliminate temptation. It’s a wonderful thing.
- It’s Healthy – Contrary to popular belief who think that not eating for any length of time is bad for you, the benefits of fasting actually go on pretty long. Virtually every system in your body improves in all ways – it’s quite amazing actually. Now I wouldn’t recommend fasting for a week or some crazy amount like that because I think the benefits would start to diminish rapidly, but fasting for 24 hours seem to work beautifully.
- It Releases HGH – Human Growth Hormone is one of the most important hormones you can have floating around in your body. It keeps you strong, young, healthy, vibrant, and helps you burn more fat. Unfortunately after about the age of 25 the levels of HGH start to decrease dramatically (about 10% per year).
- Better Self-Control – Self discipline is the one thing lacking in 99% of people’s lives. It seems to get harder and harder to control ourselves due to more temptations than ever. So if you can practice fasting for fat loss and get your self discipline under control, you’ll see improvements in ALL areas of your life.
- It Goes Against The Grain – Maybe this is just a reason for me, but I personally like to do things other people aren’t doing. I eat differently, workout differently and work differently than probably 98% of people out there. Why? Because to be honest, the majority of people out there are overweight, unhappy, and broke. So obviously “the norm” isn’t working. If you want to be successful not only in getting in great shape but overall in your life – find out what everybody else is doing…and do the opposite.
Ok that’s enough about fasting for awhile now – I feel I’ve been talking about it a little too much.
